Certified GYROTONIC® and STOTT PILATES® Trained Instructor.
My path into this work started through my own experience.
I’ve always been active — from competitive soccer to high-intensity training, hiking, and travel. Over time, that pace led to ongoing strain and discomfort. I began looking for a way to move that would support my body long-term, not just challenge it.
I was introduced to the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® in 2014 while living in Vancouver. With consistent practice, I noticed clear changes — less tension, better mobility, and a stronger connection between how my body moved and how I felt day to day.
That experience led me to pursue formal training.
I began teaching Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis in 2021 in Calgary, and later continued my work in Toronto, training alongside Gyrotonic Master Trainer Jane Gotch. I now teach in Richmond Hill at SBODY Studio, where I work with clients in both Gyrotonic and Pilates.
Alongside Gyrotonic, I am also a STOTT PILATES® Trained Instructor. I have been practicing classical Pilates for over twenty years and am thrilled to be trained in the Stott Pilates method of movement. This training is recognized for its precision, structure, and anatomically informed approach, and reflects a higher standard of instruction within Pilates.
This work brings together areas I’ve been drawn to for years — movement, education, and long-term health.

Each session is structured yet responsive. Programming evolves based on your presentation that day while remaining aligned with long-term goals.

About a year before I started my weekly Gyrokinesis sessions with Sydney, I experienced a fall down an escalator, in addition to sciatica which makes walking and daily activity very difficult. However, with the gentle exercises that Sydney chooses for me, I’m able to follow along well, and always feel regenerated with little to no pain afterwards. I even have been able to do floor work exercises from which I am now able to easily get up from the floor—a feat I hadn’t experienced in years! I loved my Pilates class with Sydney! She has such a great eye for detail and coached me on when to inhale and exhale during movements — something I always got confused about before. She also taught me a simple neck stretch that’s been a total game-changer after long days at the office. On top of all that, she’s super fun and bubbly, which makes the whole session fly by.
